Privacy Policy
Effective August 1, 2026
BiteSites ("BiteSites," "we," "us") builds websites and provides marketing services for dental practices. This policy explains what information we collect on bitesites.com (this website), how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.
This policy covers this marketing website only. The client portal at client.bitesites.com and the websites we build and operate for dental practices are governed by their own agreements and notices.
What we collect
Information you send us
This site has no account signup and no payment forms. If you contact us (for example by emailing contact@bitesites.com or booking a consultation), we receive what you choose to include: typically your name, email address, phone number, practice name, and anything you write about your practice.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use this site: pages viewed, approximate location (city level, derived from your IP address), device and browser type, and how you found us. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) to recognize repeat visits. We use this data in aggregate; we do not use it to identify you personally.
Hosting and security logs
Our hosting and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical data (IP address, browser type, requested pages) to serve the site quickly and protect it from abuse. These logs are used for security and delivery, not marketing.
What we do with it
- Respond when you reach out, and provide information you ask for
- Operate, improve, and secure this website
- Understand which pages and content are useful, in aggregate
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. We run no third-party ad networks on this site. We share information only with the service providers named above (Google, Cloudflare), and only so they can provide their services to us, or if the law requires it.
Cookies and your choices
The only non-essential cookies on this site are Google Analytics cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, browse in private mode, or install Google's own Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site works fully without cookies.
Because we do not sell or share personal information as defined by California law, there is nothing further to opt out of; browser signals like Global Privacy Control do not change how we already treat your data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to know what personal information we have about you, to receive a copy, to correct it, or to have it deleted, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. To make any of these requests, email contact@bitesites.com. We will verify the request and respond within the time the law requires; we honor requests from authorized agents as the law provides.
Retention
Correspondence is kept for as long as it is useful for working together or as the law requires. Google Analytics data is retained under Google's standard retention controls and then deleted or aggregated.
Patient information
This website is for dental practices, not patients, and we do not collect patient health information here. When we build and manage websites for dental practices, any patient communications those sites handle are processed in separate, safeguarded systems under written agreements with each practice.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS with modern security headers, and we keep what we collect to a minimum. No website can promise perfect security, but collecting little is the best protection there is.
Changes
If we change this policy, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. A change never applies retroactively to data we already hold without a lawful basis.
